How we rate our bikes

No two Precycled bikes are the same—that’s part of their charm! To make choosing easier, we use a clear four-step condition rating. Since every bike has lived a life before, even the top-rated ones aren’t “new,” but they’ve all been carefully checked by our mechanics, meet our safety standards, and are ready to hit the road.

Remember: every bike needs a little love. Regular maintenance and the occasional spare part will keep your Precycled ride rolling smoothly for the long haul.

PRECYCLED BIKES CONDITION RATING

  • Like New

    The bike is in really great condition for a used bike and only has some signs of use.

  • Excellent

    The bike is in good condition considering its age and mileage. The bike has some clear signs of use.

  • Good

    The bike has worn parts and clear traces of use. However, the bike is fully functional and fully rideable.

  • Satisfactory

    The bike in this condition has a lot of marks and worn parts. However, the bike is in riding condition and has been checked for safety.

  • BRAND NEW

    The bike is unused and in factory-fresh condition. Minor signs of wear may appear from test rides, but it has never been owned or ridden regularly.
